Beaver Island History Adventure!

History came alive on the last Friday of October for Beaver Island students. With drizzly weather reminiscent of Ireland, BICS students went on an adventure to experience the history of America’s “Emerald Isle.” Our students enthusiastically participated in an archeological dig at the Mormon Print Shop, washed windows at the Whiskey Point Lighthouse, practiced their archery skills, and played a raucous game of Mumbly Peg.  Special thanks to our community volunteers for making the history adventure possible: Patrick McGinnity, Levi Connor, Peg Wilcox, Kitty McNamara, Heidi Vigil, Dickie McEvoy, Alvin LaFreniere, Lynne Flannigan, Lori Taylor-Blitz, and Becca Foli. Thanks to Friske Orchards for donated a bushel of apples and to Maeve Green and Adam Richards for organizing everything!
