Thank You to Beaver Island EMS, Fire, Police, and Road Commission!

As anyone in town could hear this afternoon, our elementary students were treated to lessons about heavy equipment and emergency services (all things with loud horns and sirens)! A huge thanks to our road commission and emergency services personnel for sharing your expertise with our students and for keeping us all safe!

Student Council Rocks the High Wire!

The BICS Student Council spent Tuesday at Camp Daggett learning about personal challenges and group dynamics. These student leaders raised money for this adventure over the summer and did a wonderful job supporting each other in the whole group and on the individual challenge activities (that included two students working as a team on a very high wire!). We are proud of these students for working together and challenging themselves!

One “Roof” Schoolhouse—Constitution Day

In the strong tradition of BICS working collaboratively between the Elementary and Secondary schools, our 2-6th grade students visited their high school colleagues today to learn about the Constitution in honor of Constitution Day. Special Thanks to Mr. Richards, Mrs. Robert, and Mrs. Bedell for organizing and implementing this cross-grade learning experience!
