Spirit week has been a great success so far. Looking forward to seeing all the costumes on Friday.

Good morning!
Next Friday is Halloween! The elementary staff is asking families to arrive at school by 8:10 so we can get lined up for the costume parade. We hope to start promptly at 8:15. The preK will be taking their costumes off directly after the parade, so plan to get any and all photos you'd like of students in costumes before they change.
Reminder to families: Please leave all inappropriate costume props or costumes at home. ie: sword, gun, cigarettes, gory costumes, axes. This has been a problem in the past.

BICS National Honor Society members Sophie McDonough (President), Kira Turner (Vice-President) and Izzy DeLaat (Secretary) helped our Beaver Island Post Office decorate their lobby for Breast Cancer Awareness. Many post offices are taking part in this USPS Event!
If you have any pink decorations you would like to add, please bring them to the Post Office, one of these NHS students or NHS Adviser Connie Boyle.

The 3rd and 4th graders wrapped up Charlotte's Web and embraced fall with a visit to the Warmerdam Homestead where they got to pick apples, collect pumpkins, and feed the piggies. Thanks for letting us play in your gardens and with your animals.

Yesterday our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders got to fly off island to see a cirque show at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts. They took advantage of the gorgeous weather by having a picnic lunch and walking a trail to the show. Thank you to the donors at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts for making this show free to all students who attended.
