Our K-6 students started their fiddle lessons with Ruby John today. Thanks to TUNES, our students will receive two lessons a month through May. Stay "tuned" to see how our islanders progress.

We recently spoke to the Road Commission and they feel the roads are passable at this time and it is not imperative for us to send students home. But, if parents feel the need to pick up their students early, it will be excused and will not count against them as an absence. We are however canceling all after school activities, please ensure your child is picked up at 3:20pm.

Baked good donates will be excepted by NHS students or Connie Boyle if you would like to contribute to the sale with an item.
Don't forget to stop and buy some tasty treats Friday night.
Thank you NHS

BICS is now canceled for the day Wednesday 1/22nd is officially a snow day. Due to "visibility is not improving and snow has now changed to a wet snow which could lead to icy conditions".

Thank you, Beaver Island District Library, for working with our students in grades 1-6 in Science. Students were able to sow seeds this winter and are excited to watch their seeds grow up until spring.

Tuesday January 21st BICS will be closed for a weather day. It is forecasted to be colder than today therefore school will not be in session.
Please have your 7th through 12th grade students check their email and classroom sites. Many classes will have their Tues work assignment posted there.

Beaver Island vs Ojibwe Basketball Games for 1/10 and 1/11 are cancelled due to the weather.

Today, the students did their Christmas shopping at Santa's workshop. Thank you to Theresa McDonough, Ryann Turner, and all the volunteers that put this on every year.
